Frankfurt down under

No doubt Frankfurt does not enjoy a reputation as a beautiful spot. Though it’s Germany’s skyscraper financial hotspot, it still hasn’t achieved the flair of a cosmopolitan must-see hangout: smallish, filthy, with a bizarre architecture (somewhat suffering from WWII damages and subsequent hasty resurrection) it simply doesn’t feel “right”.

 

Nevertheless at least when entering into Frankfurt’s U-Bahn, the underground railway system, one can find a mysteriously “different” world.
